Australian National Botanic Gardens, ACT












As this weekend was a long weekend I took advantage of an extra day and set off to explore the Australian National Botanic Gardens. I have been meaning to go since I arrived here a year ago! Just one of the 149 things to see and do in Canberra.

It is absolutely beautiful and I'm sure I'll be back.

these are great! I like the first two photos a lot, but I LOVE photo #6. That's the sort of view I wouldn't mind seeing from any of my windows.

It was in the Red Centre Garden (taking its inspiration from Central Australia) and I love the colours - the burnt orange soil, the silver foliage in the foreground, the dusky pink rocks and the plum of the large tree... it all works so well together!
