Shepherds Lookout, Woodstock Nature Reserve, Canberra

Yesterday morning we took a short drive to the north of Canberra to visit Woodstock Nature Reserve to take the short walk to Shepherds Lookout as I'd stumbled across the information online and wanted to check it out.

So glad I did... it's spectacularly beautiful with expansive views taking in the Murrumbidgee River. Along walk we also spotted lots of lovely little local birds... I could be wrong in my identification of them but I believe the first bird image is a Buff-rumped Thornbill, the next is a Wagtail and the last is a White-browed Scrubwren. It was really hard to photograph them as they dash and dart through the scrub... but it was a pleasure to watch them and to hear them.

You can see more images of the views here.

[Yes, I've been absent again... I'm hoping that something that has been taking the majority of my focus and attention will come full-circle by the end of March and I can then finally start to get back to the things I love and that make me, me... I live in hope. Also, it's been so incredibly hot that there has not been any bike-riding, other outdoor activities or gardening so as the weather starts to cool off over the next few weeks there should be more activity].
