Cypress Pine Lookout, Canberra

On 03/04 we set out to do the Booroomba Rocks walk but a medical emergency and shift in wind direction from controlled burns resulted in the road being closed, so we headed to the Namadgi National Park Visitors Centre for a look around. Walking out the back, I thought we were going to do a little loop walk but the next thing I know we are walking part way up Mount Tennent, headed for Cypress Pine Lookout - see what happens when you are lost in your own little world behind the lens of the camera!

The example of the slab hut in image 6 has many elements I would love in a home... rustic timber (as you can see in image 7) and it looked like a rammed earth wall but may have been formed concrete, either way it is just beautiful.

The walk was good, moderately difficult due to the climb but the walking track is good and fairly sheltered in amongst the trees and shrubs. The scenery and views were all spectacular and you can see more images here.
